Join the 2017 High School Mountain Bike Team!

It takes a few steps to get your student rider signed up, and for first timers it can be confusing.
This quick guide will walk you through the entire process.

1

Provide Your Info to the HRJC Team

Fill out the form below to provide the HRJC team with pertinent information that we need in order to get you started.

Note: you will provide additional (and similar) information in Step 3 to the Colorado High School Cycling League.

PLEASE NOTE: High school season is well underway! Registration is closed for this season.

ATTENTION!

If you ride for Rock Canyon… you must click here.

2

Pay the HRJC Team

The team dues are $150 for the high school racing season. If you need a jersey (required for races), that is an additional $40.

Note: if you have a jersey from a previous season, you do not need to order a new jersey!

PLEASE NOTE: High school season is well underway! Registration is closed for this season. IF YOU STILL NEED TO PAY and are already on the team, the methods of payment are listed below. NO ADDITIONAL RIDERS CAN BE ADDED TO OUR ROSTER AT THIS POINT.

To pay via credit card*:

Fill out the form below. After you click ‘Pay Now’ below, you will be taken to a payment window… be sure to select “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” (or you can use PayPal, if you have an account).

Choose Payment Option...
Jersey SIze (if applicable)...
Rider Name (for our records)

*thanks to Element 24 for sponsoring credit card processing capability. Your credit card receipt may include a reference to Element 24.

To pay via check*:

Please send a check for $150.00, made out to HR Mountain Bike Team. If you need a team jersey, add $40 bucks for a total of $190, and include a note with your jersey size (XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL). Send to:

Roger and Julie Ryburn
7 Rock Street
Castle Rock, CO 80104

*yep… paying by check is a couple of bucks less than a credit card, due to having to cover the small credit card transaction fee.

Be Patient! You will receive an invite to the online registration form for the Colorado High School Cycling League (…this is also known as the online “Pit Zone”).

When you receive this invite (emailed to the email you provided in step 1), move to Step 3, below.

You will also receive an invite to TeamSnap, which is required for Step 4.

If you do not receive an invite in the next couple of hours to couple of days, please contact the team at hrcyclingclub@gmail.com.

Provide Your Info to the League

Once you receive your invite to the online “Pit Zone,” you will need to register your rider with the Colorado High School Cycling League. This is separate from the HRJC team registration. The League is the larger governing organization that our high school team is a part of.

If you are signing up for your first season with us, you will need to create an account, using the link that is being emailed to you (again, please be patient…it might take a day or two to receive the link to the Pit Zone!).

If you are a returning rider, or are returning to this Quick Guide to find the link to the Pit Zone, either to register or to pay for a race entry, the link is:

https://pitzone.nationalmtb.org/users/sign_in

Once you are logged in, it’s very easy! Just follow the prompts, fill out the forms, and pay your fees. You will need your insurance info, a credit card, and 5 minutes of your time.

The total fee for the season is $65, plus $60 per race. Note that you do not have to pay for the races until a week before the race, but you are welcome to pay for any and all races all at once, if you’d like. Just be sure to come back to the Pit Zone at least 7 days ahead of the race to register — there is no onsite race registration!

Connect with us on “TeamSnap”

One of the most important tools that we use as a team to communicate practice times, cancellations, races, gatherings, etc., is an app called “TeamSnap.” You may already be familiar with it, if you have been involved in other sports teams. It is quite popular.

You will be invited to join the team’s account once we have received your info from Step 1. In the meantime, download the app to your phone, and bookmark the main TeamSnap website:
